Artist Statement

Waking Up the Wonder
"The delicate geometry of the spider webs, the noise of the pencils when they fall to the ground, the smell of the grass after the rainfall: small, poetic things that surround us but that we are often unable to appreciate. Sometimes it is easy to forget we all have been children and that we all used to be amazed by small things....

My passion is to awaken in the minds of the viewers of my art the wonder for the small things; the desire to explore the world with children's eyes; the hidden happiness behind discovery, even the smallest one.

For this reason I create wonderful, colourful and delicate worlds: worlds in which curious and bizarre characters live and breathe. I do not really paint them, I give things to them either common or strange and I just watch them play."
